Admission into Enugu State College of Nursing Sciences Agwu

This is to inform the general public that Admission into Enugu State College of Nursing Sciences  ( Agwu Campus) will be strictly through JAMB. Any interested applicants can still change their institution at the JAMB office to Enugu State College of Nursing Sciences and pick any of our campuses.

This is to notify the general public that the entry requirement for year 2024 admission into the ND Nursing programme is through Jamb with minimum of 5 credits including English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics at not more than two (2) sittings in WAEC/NECO.

The JAMB subject combinations for ND Nursing are Use of English, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. Any combination apart from that, will not be considered no matter the JAMB score. Successful candidates that meet the minimum cut-off marks will be invited for Screening/Interview by the College.

Management

The ND/HND Nursing programme has been designed to allow for seamless academic progression of graduates along the already existing system of education in the country. It also takes cognizance of the new scheme of service for Nurses in Nigeria approved by the National Council of Establishment in 2016.

The main goal of the ND/HND Nursing programme is to prepare competent, skilled, polyvalent Nurse practitioners, versatile midwives and professionally knowledgeable public health Nurses who will use problem-solving skills in providing safe, acceptable, effective and affordable quality health services to meet the health needs of individuals, families and communities at all levels of care.

Basic General Midwifery (RM) Admission Requirements

Interested candidate must have a credit pass in at least five subjects at the GCE/WAEC/NECO at least not more than two sittings. The subjects must include Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics and English Language. Candidate are also required to do a college Test and successful candidates will be admitted into the program

National Diploma (ND Nursing) Admission Requirements

Interested candidate must have a credit pass in at least five subjects at the GCE/WAEC/NECO at least not more than two sittings. The subjects must include Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics and English Language and must have sat for the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) examination and score 180 and above. Candidate are also required to do a POST UTME) in order for successful candidates to be admitted into the program

Post Basic Public Health Nursing (HND Public Health) Admission Requirements

Interested candidate must have a credit pass in at least five subjects at the GCE/WAEC/NECO at least not more than two sittings. The subjects must include Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics and English Language and must have RN/RM and Two (2) years post RN/RM experience or BNSC

To apply into our Basic Nursing and Midwifery program is now opened.

Requirements:

  • Applicants MUST not be less than 16 years old at the time of application.
  • MUST Possess the Senior Secondary School Certificate (WASSCE/NECO) or GCE O’ Level or equivalent with at least 5 credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics at not more than two (2) sittings of the same examination body OR NABTEB at not more than one (1) sitting.
